My husband and I, went to one of the highest peak of Switzerland called Jungfrau it's 13,642ft. We planned to go to Mt. Schiltorn, a mountain which James Bond has a shooting there, but this mountain was closed, as my husband's birthday, we decided to go to Jungfrau to celebrate his birthday. As we have a "Swiss Pass" we just paid for 2 people for 200 Swiss franc, I am not sure how much the real price without a Swiss Pass.
We rode the train about 1 hr. 1/2 that was great as we took some pictures while were riding the train and it's stops about 5 mins. every station. It was a great view, it has also a glacier palace and I was glad because even its a high altitude I didn't feel dizzy or didn't feel bad at all unlike on the summit of Matterhorn, so, what I did when were in the ice palace I was skating using my shoes, I was just happy as I felt alright that time. I keep dancing and laughing:) and we took several pictures in here and we went to the restaurant as we were hungry and they have fantastic food and I ordered carrot soup and vegetable lasagna as I am a ovo-lacto-vegetarian and my husband did ordered a beef special, it was quite delicious and they have some desserts also which I took a picture in the menu as it was look tasty. I cannot believe how Swiss people did it as it has still a railway station even its up high, its really amazing! It's just a small town and it has also a post office, wow, unbelievable, where you can find a mountain has almost everything? its really amazed me, it such an incredible that Swiss people made it accessable for all. Its really a memorable experienced which is interesting story and its one of my highlight during our travels.
I attached some photos here and enjoy!:)
