Saturday, December 29, 2007
I had a pancake with butter and syrup on top and I had also a vegetable omellete with cheedar cheese, my husband just ordered an apple pancake it was delicious too and we had a great breakfast there. It such an amazing to eat in the restaurant with tasty meals and serve fresh squeeze orange juice. I am pretty sure you do prefer fresh squeeze orange juice than concentrated, I am right?
The Wingate Inn Latrobe, PA
Friday, December 28, 2007
Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights in Wingate Inn before the wedding of my good friend. It is a nice hotel that one that I liked even it is not a luxury one this is kind of my favorite hotel, simple, but clean and friendly staff here. We left the Wingate and can say that it was a very nice hotel and a very good value. It is kind of like a nicer, cleaner upscale Holiday Inn but at $82 a night, I can't argue. For a lower rate you can book online at their website and get a non-refundable rate which is charged to your credit card immediately. This is risky but a good idea if you are certain on your dates. The service is friendly and the breakfast good with eggs, sausage, doughnuts, juice, etc. There is a small workout room and a jaccuzi. The rooms are clean and include microwave, fridge, and ironing board. The Wingate sits on a generic commercial strip across from a Big K-mart store, shopping stores, gas station and others.
The Street Pilot

I love this technology so much as this one is being great helpful to us without this my husband and I will lost often as sometimes we drive somewhere far away from our place. This will work also in the Carribean like the US territories as when my husband went to US Virgin Islands it worked over there and also it works in Canada as its proven as we used it there too! How nice you have this kind of navigator in your car, so that you will not get lost finding the place you want to go to. What are you thinking? you should definitely get one of this type of technology.

Hotel At Lauterbrunnen Switzerland
Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Me and my husband stayed in "Hotel Bahnhof" we stayed here just one night while touring the Bernese Oberland because it was literally the only hotel and only restaurant in town which was open in late November, this being the slowest of the slow season. We paid 130 SwissFranc for two for the night. The room was your standard Swiss economy hotel room, maybe a little bigger- immaculate and cozy with a TV and good water pressure. Breakfast which was included was also the standard croissant, bread, cheese, butter & coldcuts affair. They did have hardboiled eggs which must have come from some weird local breed of chicken they were red and spotted. Huh! Tasted the same, though. The location of the hotel is right across the street from the train station and right next to the cable car station to Murren. I was not disturbed at all by any train noise. The resturaunt is reasonably priced with good German food and seemed packed with local farmers and old biddies for lunch and dinner. English comprehension at the hotel was poor but the staff were quite friendly. I love staying this hotel alot, the one who serves us was well-dressed look sophisticated as a server. The food was great. Being in other country is great to eat out as you will try their delicious and native food and they serve fresh and hot food, yummy!
Staying In The Hotel By The Airport
Do you like to stay in a hotel which is at the airport? do you like not to be in a hurry or stress and to wake up early to be at the airport? I think you do not like these kind of situations.
My hubby and I stayed at the Marriott at Tampa Airport, it was pretty convenient for us.
It was worth the price for us as we have an early flight. The rooms are standard for a Marriott and very comfy. The Marriott airport is actually very comforting for somebody afraid of missing a flight. The pool deck, with full view of the airport itself, it is interesting, they have good pool and it is heated. The roof top rotating restaurant is pleasant and first class, their service was great. The one thing that absolutely cannot be beat, however, is the fact that from your room to any boarding gate in TIA is only a pleasant 10-15 minutes walk away, depending on the security. No cars, no vans, no non-sense.I believe the hotel allows a day or two of free parking if you stay there. This hotel is strongly recommended for those seeking to avoid the barbarity of early flights and airport travel hassles.

Bohol Beach Club Philippines
I was impressed with the Bohol Beach Club on several levels. First of all, the service is top notch. Somebody has put a lot of effort into training the locals. Anyone who is used to travel in the Philippines can appreciate this. The staff will even run out and fetch a personal fan if they see you sweating. Sweet and helpful. The grounds were well kept, the beach raked, the pathways tended and the rooms clean & adequate with good water pressure another anomoly in the PI.
They have 1 pool which is a big one and it is pretty nice and the other is small.
The food was great, they have western menu to start but they can make anything you want in the kitchen especially Filipino dishes. I recommend the chicken sinigang and cheese lumpia. The tropical drinks were darn good. Another nice thing is that the Bohol Beach Club is actually Filipino owned. My husband and I stayed here about 4 days and the prices was about $90 and that as on 2005 and I do not know how much at this time and you can search online how much is the price right now. As ninety dollars per night as Philippine hotel is kind of a little bit high but if the price is not an obstacle for you, Bohol Beach Club is for you.
My husband did dive here in Bohol which is just $45. They carry your gear, put your equipment on for you and others. The reef is only a 5 minute boat ride away All you have to do for yourself is kick when you are in the water. My husband told me some interesting things to see lionfish, scorpionfish, pygmy seahorse & the ever popular banded seasnake. There was even a glass bottom boat tour included free with the rooms lots of fun, our filipina friend and one american friend did this glass bottom boat and we saw different kind of fish and the special one that we saw is the clown fish, we did shouting so loud watching this beautiful fish while riding this boat, we had a blast that time.

Paul Klee Museum Bern
Just got back from here after our Swiss host here in Bern enthusiastically my husband insisted to visit this new museum. We used our Swiss pass to get in, so we are not sure the actual price of admission. As for the building, it is rather difficult to miss. If you have not seen it in pictures, I will not spoil it for you. You must check your coat and bag for 1SF upon entry. The museum apparently has over a thousand of Klee's works, but rotates them so that only about 200 are on exhibit at a given time. As for the artwork, you will have to be ready to stare and think for awhile to appreciate it. You absolutely must get the state of the art audio headset for 5 SF at the start of the tour or you will have very little appreciation or understanding of his works. They are lengthy and thorough, and will add greatly to the experience. In the end I was impressed with several of his works after listening to the audios and long contemplation.
It was interesting way to spend the afternoon and it was raining in Bern that time and was windy and chilly.

A Time Of Christmas
Thursday, December 13, 2007
Make a paragraph or two regarding your personal meaning of Christmas, below the paragraph of the one who tagged you and you may put your name at the end of the paragraph linking back to your blog or right to the post of this particular tag. Then you tag as many as you can.
*Christmas is about giving love, forgiving. This remind us how lucky and how God love us when he gave us his only son Jesus Christ. A time for sharing our blessing to our family, friends and to others. - Celebrate Life/My Journey.*Christmas for me is not the new things that we have and enjoying the bounties in life but remembering that someone is born to redeem us from our sins and making sure of our salvation Teebob.*The true meaning of christmas for me is sharing, giving, expressing love to one another, and remebering that there is one person up there, who is born on the 25th of december to save us from everything . A lot of people told me that christmas is for kids. yes, it's true but I prefer to say that christmas is for everybody and sharing love to one another is the keyword remeber, "you can give without loving but you can't love without giving ". *Christmas is an annual holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. The date of the celebration is traditional and is not considered to be his actual date of birth. Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals. In most places around the world Christmas day happens on December 25. It's a special time of the year - a season of love and a season of giving. A time to share, to give and of course to receive a wonderful gift from beloved..Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.*As the word Christmas itself convey, this day is the celebration of Christ. It's his day since this is the day we celebrate his birthday. Everything we do on this day should be in his honor...just like we get the honor when we celebrate our birthdays. So do what you normally do on this day but remember to give the honor to the celebrant himself, Christ. Juliana of Pinay Wahm and Teacher' Corner.
*Christmas is an event that happen each year to remind us that a savior was born to save us from our sins. People gathered together in the Church to thank God for bringing his Son to our lives. Its a time for sharing, giving, loving, and a mass celebration to all Christians by going to the midnight Mass. Runaway THoughts of Emz and Our Journey to this so called Life .
*Christmas is an annual holiday that people around the world celebrates. People are gathered together to celebrate this traditional festivities. A time for giving, sharing, caroling and eating of course. It's the only event of they year that Santa comes out. Kohler's Realm*
Christmas to is a birthday of Jesus Christ. It's also giving and sharing to one another as it's a traditional expression around the world. Time to gathered with family and friends, caroling and joy as we welcome the other year. Christmas is a special day for all of us, especially to kids as they wait for Santa. As what they said "Give Love On Christmas Day". It's time of love and joy. Anna's Daily Journal

My Favorite Nuts
Monday, December 10, 2007
When we are in Switzerland country, I often buy cooked roasted chestnuts (maroni) when I see a vendor by the alley, it taste good and smells good especially when it's still hot hmm delicious. I missed it already. I eat my maroni while riding a nice long ride train or walking around in town. This nuts are an important food crop in southern Europe, southwestern and eastern Asia, and also in eastern North America before the arrival of chestnut blight. In southern Europe in the Middle Ages, whole forest-dwelling communities which had scarce access to wheat flour relied on chestnuts as their main source of carbohydrates.
name marrons glacés. Another important use of chestnuts is to be ground into flour, which can then be used to prepare bread, cakes and pasta.Chestnut-based recipes and preparations are making a comeback in Italian cuisine, as part of the trend toward rediscovery of traditional dishes.
The Three Castles In Switzerland And The Hotel We stayed In
Went to Bellinzona and saw 3 castles there, named Castelgrande, Montebello Castle, Sasso Corbaro Castle and have been named World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The Castelgrande, refurbished between 1980 and 1991 by the well-known Ticino architect Aurelio Galfetti, offers walks on the ramparts, particularly appealing at night when all the castles and churches in the old town are illuminated. The Montebello Castle is an outstanding 13th century chateau with a courtyard and several 15th century additions. Today it is a minor museum of history and archaeology. The Sasso Corbaro Castle was built on 1479 and has the
finest view of Bellinzona from its terrace, this castle which is a memorable to me because when my husband and I trying to reach this was a kind of great effort for us as its high top of the hill as after we visited the Montebello Castle I want to go back to the hotel because I was tired after climbing to reach the other castle but my husband did convinced me to visit the Sasso Corbaro Castle, well, we climbed up and find a way inorder we can reach it, my husband walks faster than me as he has long legs than me :), I was walking for a while, I was destructed by some chestnuts on the road (maroni) so I stopped for few minutes and my husband keep walking, what happened is he lost me as I went to the other way going to the Sasso Corbaro Castle it was about 4:00pm I just keep walking but I was kind of a bit scared as I was thinking I will not see him there and I am just the only one walking there but I just did went by myself to the castle and tried to find him if he is there but he wasn't, I was feel disappointed. I did took some pictures by myself. After few minutes, when I went down from the castle I saw my husband walking towards me and he didn't been there yet in the castle, he told me he went back to the road where we walked together haha it was a bit far, he said, he was so worry of me:). I was happy that we met in there and nothing to worry about.
We did stayed at Gamper hotel which is pleasant hotel in the center of Bellinzona, very close to the station with quiet rooms, clean, with bath, toilet, has an elevators and has pizzeria and typical italian restaurant which is has italian specialities and select wines Cosy boulevard cafe.
Opposite the railway station and 5 to 10 minutes from the motorway. Mostly people here speak Italian (grazie) :) I learned some few words of Italian, its more fun learning other language.
I had been this place Bellizona before on year 2004 and I don't feel tired seeing this nice place and my husband likes to see some castles in part of Switzerland, so I urged him to visit this place, he did really like the castles, visiting this place is one of the highlights of our trip and we did visit some churches here and walked around alot.
I did really enjoyed our trips in here as we had challenging trips, even its far and need to walked and climb but it was fun its one of my memorable days which I treasure as I will not come here often. It such a great opportunity visiting this place which is one of famous tourist place.

Swimming With The Dolphin and SeaWorld
Sunday, December 9, 2007
My husband and I went Discovery Cove, I had lots of fun here, we come here during my birthday. The price to get in here is kind of expensive $$ but you will not regret if you like to swim with the dolphin and to do snorkel and not just that, they have also some interesting to do in here and you will not be get bored, besides the food is included, snacks and drinks too and you will get admission for seaworld, its not bad at all. The customer service was excellent. It was always my dream to swim with the dolphin and it came true as we come here and I did swam with the dolphin and kissed too. :) When we were here we did snorkel, the water was cold but it was
okay, because I wore a wetsuit and its really fun to swim with the fishes with different colors and I never saw a huge stingray before and this is the only place where I saw big stingrays, it was amazing and I did touched some small stingrays too.
Lausanne and Restaurants
Saturday, December 8, 2007
This tourist place Laussane (loh-zahn) has two parts the lake Ouchy pronounced "ooshee" with good restaurants and the Olympic museum and the 2nd is the old town. Mostly the hotels here are expensive, just few hotels are not expensive and my hubby and I are just stayed here for couple of nights. This place is steeper than its big and lots of shopping stores you name it, when I was here I was overwhelmed by climbing and there's noway to see this town without climbing but it is good for you also if you have a strong legs :) and its good for exercise, I like walking this town and the products are quite expensive like clothing and other stuff and it depends what kind of product do you buy here, well its a tourist destination lots of people here from other countries. Lausanne is a french (merci buko) :) side of Switzerland, I have seen different kind of people in here it seems like New York. My husband and I did roaming around this charming old town, we went to the Church called Evangelical Reform Church the biggest church in Switzerland its more than 300 ft. long and it belongs to the tradition of early Protestant reformer John Calvin and like its founder. Honestly, I haven't see or visit this kind of big church, I was mesmerized because its huge inside and makes me think, how much money they spent this church? how long they built the church? it's a beautiful church, has very nice and colorful stained glass and lots of chairs. My husband and I walked alot and makes me hungry, we decided to give a try in Le Bleu Lezard Restaurant, I was surprised its very popular restaurant, they have very good food and good service. On 2nd day of staying Lausanne, we ate at Cafe Romand, very popular too, lots of people inside but its kind of smoky but its alright they have good service and delicious food hmm... yum hehe. I enjoyed walking around this town alot. I hope you guys readers will visit this place someday.
Attached photo inside the restaurant of Le Bleu Lezard with my food, inside the Church, the shopping alley and the beautiful windows with stained glass. Just click the pictures to see it clearly. Thanks for reading.
