My husband and I did visit this "McLarty Treasure Museum." We just paid $2.00 for two of us for admission, that is why we did not miss this, and it interests me already hearing “Treasure Museum” when it is a treasure I always think it is seems interesting to see the kind of museum as I can see different kind of treasures. When my husband and I arrived there, one woman who is working as a volunteer is friendly and she did told us some stories about the treasure displayed there. I was impressed in “Treasure Museum.” She did told us also about some people found treasures on the beach like Spanish silver coins, emeralds stones and ring and other treasures which was washed along the shore during the hurricanes from the Spanish ship which was sunk in the ocean between Sebastian and Fort Fierce Florida which has treasures. The woman told us, the silver coins nowadays is worth about 400 dollars each and I am not sure also as I have not sell silver coins. One man before, according to story and the video that I saw inside the museum, he found alot of silver coins on the beach which he collected and maybe lets say thousands of them and I am just wondering how much did he sell each before. Watching the treasure video also, I was amazed as the scuba diver found gold bars and about 1,200-1300 gold coins in the ocean, how great was that and I never really hold any gold coins and it really interests me and makes me cannot believe that person found those gold coins alot and some gold bars.
If you would like to know about the history of this, you can search in Google about the Spanish Treasure Shipwreck and you will love the story of this. I know now why in East Coast is called “Treasure Coast.” How I wish when my husband and I walking on the beach there at Vero Beach, I found a treasure for myself (ha-ha) but I did not know that time yet after we went to McLarty museum that people can find treasures on the beach.
You guys should definitely visit this museum if you will visit Vero Beach, do not miss this, it is worth and it will find you very interesting and it is the highlight of our trip in Vero Beach, Florida. I learned something through visiting that museum.
