My Trails In Life

I cooked food sometimes for my husband showing that I do care and love him. We eat out often, so when I get a chance, I cook something he like and I cooked breakfast, lunch or dinner for him. I just cook about 3-4 times a week and the rest we eat out and that is why I try hard not to eat crappy foods and if I do, I do exercise in the pool or in the ocean together with him. Sometimes, I am lazy to cook especially when I am doing something here in the computer like updating my blogs and chatting with my sister and my family back home in Philippines. I can cook but I am not a good cooker, I tried and invent, and I learn. Most of the time, he likes what I cook for him and perhaps I am getting better when it comes in cooking (lol).You can see below the chicken that I cooked for my hubby. What do you think? When my husband and I doing land trip I am kind of scared when we are in the middle of trucks and the more I am afraid when I am the one driving as we do not know what will happen. One time, we drove from Indianapolis going to Michigan to visit my husband’s parents we turned to another exit and we noticed there was traffic and only to find out the truck was on fire and that was scary though. On other day my husband did eat our early dinner in this “Oyster PJ’s Bar and Seafood Restaurant” here in St. Pete Beach where about 10 minutes away by car from our condominium. The restaurant is a casual dining and offers great, cheap menu prices. My husband loves a dozen of raw oysters and every time we eat in there he order that and fish sandwich. When we eat there, I just order hush puppies, jalapeno poppers and spaghetti for kids (only) (ha-ha). We eat sometimes and make me gain weight and sometimes I feel lazy to cook and I urge my hubby to eat out (lol). I gained about 8 lbs and other clothes that I have right now is not fit for me anymore.

The restaurant is very popular and when we get there yesterday for our dinner, the restaurant is packed and well…I can say it is also weekend but even it was about 8pm the restaurant is full and that is a good sign will be stay in business and they have great food. My husband and I go to in Orlando to have fun in Disney World or other theme parks. We go there about 2-3 times a year it depends if there is any occasion or if we feel like it to go there. My husband celebrates our honeymoon there, we stayed in Polynesian, and one time we celebrated my 23rd birthday. We lived about 2 hours from Orlando and that is not far at all, so anytime we wanted to go there, we can visit and have fun. I loved Orlando, as it is a center of fun. There are alot of things to do while you are in Orlando especially you will be one of their theme parks. As we know, Orlando is best known for its theme parks. I told my husband today that I am going to salon to get a new hairstyle since it is summer, and wanted a short hair. He do not really like my hair is short as he do not like I will be look like a man (lol), but he said to me, I can do whatever I want as long as makes me happy. Anyway, I urged him to go to the European store which nearby our condo in just about 2-3 minutes away and he planned also to get a sandwich in Original Pizza, so we went together in the store and bought different kind of interesting European foods and other Asian food that we have not tried before. The property value now here in Florida went down but the property taxes went down too. My husband bough his old condominium and sold higher and then he bought a new condominium before we got married which has two bedrooms and two bath. I do not have any complain since we live nearby the beach and we live in a nice community and make me feel safe. Yesterday is just a busy day for me since I packed my stuff for 7-day cruise vacation for us. I packed my own and my husband do it also his stuff as I do not really know how he pack his things, he is a traveler than me and he knows better how to pack his stuff. When he does not have time, I can do it but he has time, as it is weekend. This afternoon, we will be on cruise and I felt excited about it and no blogging and taking opps for me for 7-days. I brought one time my laptop on the cruise and now I am not bringing it as I wanted to enjoy and concentrate our fun. I am not sure I can get an internet access there as last time we went on cruise, I did not get any connection, so I felt disappointed as makes me think bringing my laptop without any use is just a hassle, so no laptop for me this 7 day of vacation. I am sure we will be going to have a blast as we did the 1st time we had wonderful time and one of great experienced and vacation that we ever had. My husband and I travel sometimes anywhere in the world and other States here in USA. There are States that I would like to visit and to have fun as travelling can make you learn something and educate ourselves and we do like exploring tourist places and other big cities here in USA. Last night, I did try to find a hairstyle, which suit to my round face and I found 2 kinds of hairstyle which I printed last night. I decided to go to hair salon here in our area this morning to have a haircut and brought the picture to show the hairdresser the style of haircut that I want. You can see the picture of hairstyle that similar to my hairstyle now. I chose it since it suit to my round face but my hair is shorter right now than hers. During spring time tulips bloomed and when we were in Indianapolis I took alot of pictures of tulips since I do not see alot here in Florida. Tulips are my favorite flower, one day I wanted to see different kinds of tulips, and so that it will happen, my husband and I should go to in Holland since they have tulips farms there. On Tuesday was sunny and I had decided to take a picture on the porch since it was a nice day out. I like that day as it was sunny but not too hot, and I thought I should take a picture from the porch of a view of the ocean, the beach and the pool where I swam 3 days ago as I missed swimming in the pool as we stayed for a while in Indy. It is so nice swimming in the ocean and after that swim in the pool, it is relaxing and great exercise. It was a great day and how I wish, it will be like that sometimes to see a nice placid ocean and sunny day.

My husband and I like to do boating and do fishing but my husband and I do not know on how to operate one and perhaps we should learn how to operate. Learning anything is not yet too late and it will be a great experience on how to learn on how to drive a boat. In about couple of days ago, I was thinking to eat our dinner one of our favorite Thai restaurant. This afternoon, my husband asked me if I am hungry and I said “yes” and asked me if I will like to eat in Thai restaurant and I just say immediately “yes” and saying also “let’s go.” I never refuse when he urge me to eat out in any Asian restaurant as I like to eat rice and veggies. My favorite food is Thai food since the foods they have are tasty, aromatic, and satisfying and if you are Asian like like me or if you are fond eating Asian foods. I liked Thai Am restaurant, as mostly the servers knows us. Additionally their menu prices are cheap and the food are great (yum yum!) My husband ordered their dinner special the pepper steak that comes with rice, salad and spring roll and I ordered for myself seaweed salad, napa cabbage soup, emerald green curry, which mixed with veggies as you can see the pictures below. This afternoon it is very windy where I live in and the more its windy since we live right on the beach. In the morning, the weather just calm but around 6pm it is slowly getting foggy, the wind starting getting stronger and the rain pour hard too. While I was in the kitchen, I noticed the water goes into our glass window and I realized the wind blows hard and I can hear the wind blows hard and it sounds like a cat crying. In about an hr. the wind slows down and it’s stopped raining and when I looked up the ocean its look placid and I urged my husband to swim in the ocean before sunset. We swim together until to the buoy which was fun and I forgot my water wings, so I did try my best that I can swim to the buoy and back to the shore. I am proud of myself since I did swim by myself without any help or hanging on the back of my hubby. I am also proud of my husband as before I did hang on his back going to the buoy and back to the shore. The buoy is not near on the shore at all, and I can say if you are not good in swimming, you will be chicken to go down there. I just swim to the buoy since my husband was with me and he is a good swimmer and if ever I will drown, I am sure he can help me and if he was not with me, I will not swim until to the buoy.

I told my husband that he needs a better watch since what he has is a cheap type of watch. He had good watch before but it does not work anymore so he decided to buy a cheaper one. For me, a good watch is necessary, as you will use it all the time even though buying a good watch is a little bit expensive but it is worth the price, as you can get the quality and it will last long. My husband did urge me to swim with him in the ocean as he was kept urging with me, so I did go with him, I suppose not to as I am somewhat scared might the shark will is there (lol). We did swim together until to the buoy, I just brought my water wing so that I do not get drown and I had fun swimming with him since it was raining too and the water is warm. After we did swim in the ocean, we swam also in our pool that was refreshing as it was a little bit cold due the rainwater. I felt glad I go with him swimming as that was good exercise for me and makes me feel good of myself.

Today, my husbands friends, my husband and I went there to see the baseball game. I have been in Tropicana field before watched the Devil Rays playing and the won that time but tonight the Devil Rays lost and they scored 3 and the Houston Astros scored 4. How I wish the Devil Rays won as I am one of their fan but you know sometimes it is like that and I congratulate Astros team. Congrats to Houston Astros team!

I never made a leche flan before and my best friend told me it is easy to make. Ingredients and Directions:

• 12 egg yolks
• 1 can condensed milk
• 1 pint Vit D milk
• 1 tablespoon vanilla (lemon essence or peppermit can be substituted)

Directions
Blend all ingredients in a blender. Pour mixture into a loaf tin lined with caramelized sugar (see below). Cover with aluminum foil. Place tin in a larger baking pan half-filled with water. Place pan in pre-heated oven (375 F) and bake flan for about 1 hour or until it is firm.
Caramel
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water

Directions
Put sugar and water in a saucepan. Caramelize in high heat. Line loaf tin with caramelized sugar. Be sure to line the sides of the pan.

This Friday, my husband and I will be going to be back in Florida and we missed Florida since we are living for 4 months here in Indianapolis. My husband and I went to this “Mikado Japanese Restaurant” this afternoon since the P.F Chang’s are busy and alot of people did fall in line and we decided to go to in Japanese restaurant. Yesterday, my husband and I ate our dinner in one good Italian restaurant here in Indianapolis and after we ate we decided to walk around in the downtown. I am amazed that an old stamp become worth thousands of dollars.
